Great location but hotel needs some improvements

The location is nothing to complain about, spectacular uninstructed views of the ocean with a small convenience store and restaurants within walking distance The staff we did see were lovely too Use of kayaks and snorkelling gear is a bonus with daily activities available as well
Worth knowing
Our room had a noticeable damp/mouldy smell from the moment we arrived. The internal walls were bubbling, which appeared to be a sign of water damage. While the room was generally tidy, the overall cleanliness felt average. The grout and silicone throughout the bathroom were heavily discoloured, making it feel unclean, and there was an unpleasant odour coming from both the dishwasher and the cupboard under the kitchen sink. There were also a few maintenance issues. The bath tap was faulty and leaked water onto the bathroom floor whenever it was used. Around the pool, many of the outdoor lounge cushions had been left out in the rain and were wet and mouldy, making them unpleasant to use. The washer dryer function wasn’t easy to use, took several hours to get a small load to dry. Housekeeping was only provided upon request and often wasn’t completed until late in the day, which was inconvenient if you wanted to return to a serviced room after being out. The food and drinks at the restaurant were good but very expensive. The resort has a relaxed, quiet vibe, which is great if that’s what you’re looking for. However, if you’re after more entertainment or atmosphere, you’ll likely find yourself heading outside the resort. It was also disappointing that the pool table became unavailable after 8:30 pm due to the guest rooms located above. Overall, the resort has potential and is suited to those wanting a peaceful getaway, but improvements to maintenance, cleanliness and some guest facilities would make for a much better experience.
