Breakfast is no longer a buffet. Service sometimes slow . Seemed to be short staffed at breakfast. The staff were lovely and most apologetic. Didn't eat lunch there. Dinner needs work. Many dishes were bland and under seasoned. We were there last year and no complaints then. Hope this weak spot is fixed.

Bure pools a bit cool at this time of the year, the couch is not the best for oldies with creaky bones as it’s low to the ground and it’s in 7 pieces which keep skating around the tiled floor when you sit and get up but you learn to cope

We absolutely loved our stay at Lomani. All the staff were amazing, especially Winston, who always greeted us with a smile and friendly welcome when we saw him anywhere on the property. The rooms were spacious, clean and private and we loved having the beach on our doorstep. The breakfast was pretty good, and there were some nice options for dinner too. We were there for a week and would have maybe liked a few more food options, but it didn't take away from our experience. The beachfront area is gorgeous and there is a good degree of separation between the plantation island / musket cove resorts on the same island. The spa was also incredible - we had multiple massages when we were there, including the beachfront masssage which was a real highlight. We couldn't recommend Lomani enough!

The hotel's pool and dining area is beautiful. The beach is beautiful (same as the other two resorts on the island). However, it is very tidal, which means you cannot swim or use the water sports equipment (kayaking, paddleboard) when the tide is out. So this can leave you a very limited time to spend in the sea (apart from using the pool). No children (very strict, not even to visit), so it is very peaceful and quiet. The staff are (trained) very friendly. The activities offered out in their boat is included. We enjoyed the Reef Snorkelling (another world!) and Hand line fishing. We did however, encounter an unpleasant episode where we turned up for the snorkelling and were told we were on a waiting list even having booked it two days prior. That was unpleasant the way it was handled but was quickly solved.
Worth knowing
There are a few things we could say we didn't like. Suffice to say, we did not find this place value for money in any way. It cost us A LOT more than all the other 5 star hotels we've stayed at around the world. There were only bulk bottles amenities in the bathroom. No shower caps, earbuds, etc. No extractor fan - nothing luxurious about it. Breakfast is included, and it is A la carte. It's not a buffet but a LIMITED choice where you can choose only one item from basically two sections. Included in one section is for example, Granola, or pancakes or waffles (sweet) or a very nice eggs bene or a big breakfast (1 sausage, little bacon, half a tiny tasteless unripe tomato (horrible), little bacon etc). We were told if you ordered the granola, that's all you could have. You cannot have the granola AND eggs bene. From the next page you could order a small packet of muesli, fruit and bread basket and juice and plunger coffee. (pay extra for an expresso coffee). Here's the funny/strange thing - there were 3 of us - we each ordered fruit and a bread basket. Three mornings we ordered one each and only two came out. We were told one plate of fruit and a bread basket was for TWO people. However in each was only ONE of each thing. So for example, two croissants had to be shared between three people! We had to ask for more. On the fruit plate you get one segment of orange plus one piece of 3 other fruit. In a five star hotel, do you expect people to share one segment of and orange?! On our 4th morning, three plates of fresh cut fruit came out. Go figure. One thing that really upset us however, was you could not sit where you wanted. Because there were three of us, we were relegated to the back row, 'so we didn't block the view of other couples in front'. Hello? Sorry to say, in this expensive 5 star hotel, we felt everything was very controlled with a lack of generosity and lacking of that 'very happy to be here' vibe.
