Fantastic dive holiday

Exceptionally friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Very accommodating for individual needs. Only small number of guests, so felt exclusive. Eco friendly but good wifi in communal areas & reliable solar power to all bures. Friendly like minded fellow guests. Opportunity to experience Fijian culture & to visit traditional isolated Kadavu villages. Good dive facilities & access to coral reefs. Absolutely loved our time at Papageno & will return in the future

This is the loveliest little resort with a personal touch that I doubt you would get at many other places. The staff all went above and beyond to ensure we were catered to. The diving was amazing, especially the Astrolabe reef. The food was incredible and I ate far too much. They were able to cater for vegetarian and gluten free and I even got my own freshly baked GF bread. The 2 bedroom villa was protect for 2 friends as we each got our own bathroom as well as a communal living space.

3 nights not nearly enough. Next time I will go fur at least 5 to ensure I walk more, explore more, and rest

The team at Papageno have created a low key, family like village within a village. It’s like stepping back in time and now back in Australia I just want to go back. Also, Vani your food is exceptional. The vege garden is a joy and food is so fresh.

Wir haben 6 Nächte in einem Superior Chalet gewohnt. Der Bungalow war sehr schön eingerichtet, gemütlich und geräumig. Der tropische Garten im Resort ist wunderschön und die Lage direkt zwischen Regenwald und Korallenriff ein Traum. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Es wurde alles frisch aus dem Garten zubereitet und der Fisch kam direkt frisch aus dem Meer.

Worth knowing

Bei schlechtem Wetter (wir haben dort leider viel Regen und einen Sturm in der dry season erlebt), kommt man schlecht weg, um andere Dinge zu tun und zB zum Astrolabe Reef/Ono island zu fahren um Mantas zu sehen. Das Personal war trotzdem bemüht, sich ein interessantes Programm für uns zu überlegen (zB Kokonussöl-Herstellung).

Papageno Resort was a small piece of paradise. The kindest, friendliest staff, amazing local food, fantastic snorkelling and diving, and pure peace.
