Relaxing stay and good value for families

We enjoyed a relaxing stay at Double Tree Hilton. Compared to expensive resorts at Denerau it is good value for money for a family with teenage girls. The staff were very friendly and helpful, shout out to the pool bar staff who were excellent. The happy hour cocktails three times a day there was a highlight, and great to be able to watch the World Cup football matches live also. We had a King Room with two King Beds, the separated shower and toilet from the rest of the bathroom is good for a family. We dined at Vulani restaurant, as the menu at Tavu Grill was limited for choice for a family with teenagers. Happy with the À la Carte options at Vulani, the pasta meals were huge! Strange not to have burger options on this menu past 6pm though. The sunsets looking out towards Malolo Lailai Island were stunning!

Worth knowing

Parts of the resort look quite tired, and need a refresh. I understand a big storm hit Fiji back in April, but it didn't look like much had been cleaned up three months later around the rocks on the beachfront at the resort. It just looked really untidy. The swimming pool while refreshing to swim in only has one access point in and out from the beach side. We did one buffet Pizza & Pasta night and weren't impressed. Only three pizza options, which didn't look appealing, and we thought this was poor value for money.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Swimming pool great for all members of the family. Room was comfortable.

Worth knowing

I thought I had booked Bures when I did the bookings, so was a bit disappointed when we arrived to find we weren't in them. However the rooms we were put in were nice. Unfortunately our room the phone didn't work so we had no way of contacting reception from our room. The fan in the shower did not work at all so it did steam up in there. two of the four bed spotlights didn't work. The meals were lovely but we found that all the food was very expensive. You were not allowed to take your own food onto the property - which was an issue as they could not always cater for specific dietary needs.

Staff were good, sunset was nice. Housekeeping was excellent.

Worth knowing

Food was a bit pricey and limited options. Activities they listed on the site like kayaking , snorkeling - can only be done with a tour. Nothing at the resort. Any other activities were also expensive. They should create some more lookout or viewing points. The pool is the only option :(

Amazing staff, great facilities.

Worth knowing

Some of the food options were a little underwhelming. But overall still good. Sunday seafood buffet and fire show was excellent.

Comfortable but disappointed with amount of rubbish and lack of investment in the environment.

Comfortable beautiful rooms and good food

Worth knowing

No hammocks. The only beach was covered in rubbish and the water was not swimmable.
