Mai Sunset Beach Resort

Mai Sunset is the most beautiful place. The staff are just next level; attentive and always happy to chat. It truely feels like such a family and I can’t express how much I loved the staff, shoutout to Malelili, Sireli and Sana. (Definitely have missed some names) The food was absolutely amazing, Beverly is an incredible chef! They leave the coffee and tea out all day which really nice to be able to go grab some if you want it. The accommodation is stunning, really clean and really well built, the outside shower is a great touch! They have a bunch of activities to do, highly recommend the guided snorkelling tour! Shoutout out to Tueli and Moni who helped us with all the activities! The beach is beautiful and there are heaps of places to sit and chill out, hammocks are everywhere. It’s really lovely. We did sunset tubing one night and the boys were so funny and made us all laugh so much! I highly highly recommend it here, I will absolutely be back!

Loved everything about Mai Sunset! Very authentic Fijian feeling over the place, thanks to the wonderful and warm workers who do everything for the guest to feel welcome. Delicious food and nice activities.

L’accueil était incroyablement chaleureux et sincère, les chambres neuves, impeccablement propres et très confortables, et la nourriture excellente chaque jour avec beaucoup de variété et de qualité. Nous avons particulièrement aimé l’ambiance paisible et intimiste de l’île, très différente des plus gros resorts. Le staff a vraiment fait la différence : attentionné, bienveillant et toujours disponible pour prendre le temps avec ses clients. Mention spéciale aux couchers de soleil absolument extraordinaires 🌅

We had the absolute best 24 hours of our lives at this newly opened resort! From the very first to the last moment, we were treated like queens. The welcome was incredible—the entire staff greeted us with a traditional song and a delicious welcome cocktail garnished with a flower. It truly felt like family. The property is brand new, impeccably clean, and has immense potential as a top-tier luxury resort. They placed beautiful fresh flowers everywhere for us to find, which was such a lovely touch. Our room was stunning and spotless, but the absolute highlight was the outdoor shower under the stars—simply SPECTACULAR! The atmosphere is wonderfully authentic. We loved the local activities they organized, like coconut husking, basket weaving, and snorkeling. The staff was always so friendly, ready to chat, interact with us, and share fascinating stories about island life. The food was absolutely delicious! A massive well done to the chef and the culinary team. We tasted almost every dish, and each one was spectacular in both flavor and presentation. We also treated ourselves to a massage right by the sea; it was incredibly relaxing, and the massage therapists were amazing. When it was time to say goodbye, the staff hugged us and sang a beautiful farewell song. Leaving the island was heartbreaking. Thank you for the best 24 hours of our lives!

Soon to be the best resort in Fiji Great staff, so friendly, knew all the guests by name Dorms were amazing, only 4 people per room with an en-suite and outside shower, real luxury. Exactly like the private bures unlike most other resorts. The most beautiful location. You couldn’t ask for anything more secluded and tranquil. The rooms, although quite simple, were lovely and clean and spacious. The outdoor shower was particularly nice. Truly, if you want to visit the Yasawas and not pay some ridiculous amount of money to be around far too many people, and you really want to switch off - Mai Sunset is perfection. Sometimes all you can hear is the sound of the ocean and the wind in the coconut palms. There is so little disturbance, the staff and friendly and kind, they were always so sweet and thoughtful and they even made a birthday cake for my partner’s birthday as a surprise! So cute. They also greeted us with a song and freshly cut coconuts. 😍 The water is crystal clear, so many fish when snorkelling, the beach is gorgeous for a walk. And watching the sun go down over the Pacific Ocean was really unlike anything else. Food was decent, and there are quite a few options, but could be more if there’s any constructive feedback to give. But really, you won’t be disappointed especially at the price. We could not be happier after our stay. Big thanks to all the staff 💙
