Super friendly people, with a good heart. I loved staying here!
House described as very clean and homely.
Hosts (Jolane and Maria) repeatedly praised as very kind, welcoming and helpful.
Excellent village location and remote island setting; authentic local experience praised.
Mixed: comfortable bed but serious issue with fan stopping after ~2 hours causing very hot, sleepless nights.
Limited amenities: solar electricity means battery fans that run only part of the night; beach hammock uncomfortable (rope).

- Maria ist eine tolle Person und eine hervorragende Köchin! - Das Zimmer selbst war sauber und die Aussenterrasse, sowie Hängematte unten am Strand sehr cool. - Alle Leute im Dorf sind sehr freundlich - Ein Riff ist 5 Minunten Fussweg/Tauchweg entfernt und man kann eine herrvorragende Wanderung zu einem Aussichtspunkt auf der Insel unternehmen.
Worth knowing
- Die Küche und die Badezimmer sind relativ dreckig. Zwar erwarte ich nicht zu viel auf einem Homestay, aber zum Teil war es dann schon noch unappetitlich.

Our favourite Homestay as of yet, the food to the company was incredible. The nicest of villages and the nicest of people. Highly highly recommend.

Jolame Homestay was a truly authentic and cultural experience. Living with a family in a local village was a great time and they are all very very friendly.
Worth knowing
The facilities were sometimes a little dirty at times but that is completely understandable given it is a local village.
