Find the setting. Then look a little closer.

A name is only the beginning.

A Fiji hotel search can bring together very different holidays: an airport stop, a self-contained apartment, a beachfront resort or a small island retreat. Begin with the place and the journey, then decide which property deserves a closer look. A familiar name can help you start, but the location and room details make the choice useful.

The property guides below explain decisions that are easy to miss in a quick comparison. A beachfront room is not necessarily a bure. A hotel on Malolo Island is not on Malolo Lailai. A quiet adults-only pool does not make an entire resort adults-only. Getting those distinctions right helps you compare like with like.

You can browse this directory without choosing dates. When you find somewhere that interests you, read its stay guide where available or choose dates to check the live accommodation options. The directory records places in our catalogue; it does not promise that every listed property has rooms available for every trip.

If you are still choosing an area, start with the Fiji destination guides. Nadi and Denarau offer a different arrival pattern from the Coral Coast and outer islands. Decide how much moving around you want before turning a long list of hotel names into a shortlist.

Compare the stay you will actually book.

Use the same dates, guests and room needs for each comparison. For families, include every child’s age and check the beds. For couples, look at privacy and the room position as closely as the view. If a particular feature matters, find it in the selected room description rather than assuming it comes with the hotel’s name.

A lower nightly rate is only part of the decision. Include required meals, return transport and any separate property charges in the holiday budget. Check the cancellation deadline, especially when flights or island connections are not yet settled. The full stay total is a better starting point than an isolated promotional number.

Property information and live offers serve different purposes. A guide helps you understand a place; the offer tells you the room, inclusions and conditions you can book for your dates. Special requests remain requests until confirmed, and a catalogue listing does not hold availability while you make up your mind.

Keep the final property name, room category and references together once a reservation is confirmed. If two options still look similar, tell Ask HeyFiji what matters most. A workable arrival, enough room for everyone and an everyday setting you enjoy can matter more than another item on a facilities list.
